Bodegas Araico is a company of family origin, located in Villabuena de Álava (Rioja Alavesa), dedicated to the cultivation of the vine. It is a small company that was constituted as such in the year 1986.

The Araico family takes care of 86 hectares, from which it selects 36 to elaborate its wines. These vineyards are located in the town of Villabuena and its environs, they date from the 30 to the 100 years of age, with an average of 50 years.

The varieties we use are:

In Whites: Viura and Malvasía

Inks: Tempranillo and Garnacha

The vineyard has the characteristic of being small plots in which the different varieties are mixed (both inks and white), a traditional form of planting in which it is sought to put the plants that best adapt to each terrain. After an exhaustive analysis of the potential of the vineyard we decided to perform a double interpretation of our wines, traditional and avant-garde.
